LIBRARY VISION
Our dream in Learning Resource Center (LRC) is that it be realized as the heart of the academic community, where learning takes place through its resources and services and thus contribute to the intellectual growth and social transformation of the students.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE
  • To promote an independent intellectual growth
  • To support the DC Vision-Mission, the Educational Ministry Vision-Mission and Core Values, institutional and programs
  • To provide for an atmosphere which is conducive to learning

LOCATION
  1. Areas
    The Library is divided into the study area and the research area.
  2. Sections
    The Research Area is divided into sections:
    • Circulation Section – consist of books which are for general circulation.
    • Reserved Section – consist of those books which are required or recommended by the teachers for their classes.
    • Reference Section – consist of books such as encyclopedia, dictionaries, atlases, yearbooks, directories, almanac and other books which are for library use only.
    • Filipiniana Section – consist of books written by Filipino authors and books about Philippines .
    • Periodical Section – consist of newspapers dailies, journals, magazines both foreign and local.
    • Information File Section – consist of clippings on current issues and articles relevant to the course offering, pamphlets and modules.
    • Internet Section – consist of ten units of computers which they can use only for their research work.
RULES AND REGULATIONS/POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
  1. Hours of Service
    Regular Semesters
    • Monday to Friday
      7:30 a.m. – 5: 00 p.m.
    • Saturday
      8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
    Summer
    • Monday to Saturday
      8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
      1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    The library is closed on Sundays and Holidays.
    Any changes to be made in the library schedules will be posted on the bulletin board.
  2. General Policies
    • Keep the library conducive for learning. Observe Silence.
    • Respect and courteous be observed in dealing with the library personnel.
    • Handle books, and other materials with care. Marking, mutilations and defacing of books and other library properties will demand replacement or payment of current price.
    • Eating, sleeping, littering and loitering are strictly prohibited.
  3. Borrowing Regulations
    • Circulation & Filipiniana Books - are allowed to borrow two books at a time and overnight for two days.
    • Reserved Books - are for library use only. Reserved books with several copies maybe borrowed for overnight use and must be returned the following day.
    • Reference Books and Periodicals – are for library use only.
  4. Returning Policies
    All borrowed books must be returned on time otherwise a fine will be charged. The library fine is P8.00 per book per day. For fiction book is P2.00 per book per day.
  5. Loss of Books Lost books must be reported at once to the librarian to avoid accumulation of fines. Any lost book must be paid by the present market price, or must be replaced by the same title, author and latest edition.
  6. Referrals to Other Institutions Students or Faculty members who need to consult other libraries may request the College Librarian for the issuance of referral letters to the institutions of their choice.
  7. Other Researchers
    • Researchers from other school are required to pay an access fee for ten pesos (P10.00) per visit per person for the use of materials or other facilities, except for internet.
    • Referral letter and valid school ID must be presented.
    • All library materials shall be for room use only. Photocopying is allowed.
  8. Instructional Media Center
    The Audiovisual Office provides service for instructional presentation to faculty and students. Scheduled requests are provided with facilities, equipment and audiovisual materials available.
