Library Vision

Our dream in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) is that it be realized as the heart of the academic community, where learning takes place through its resources and services and thus contributes to the intellectual growth and social transformation of the students.

General Objective

  • To promote an independent intellectual growth
  • To support the CC Vision-Mission, Core Values and Graduate Attributes
  • To provide for an atmosphere that is conducive to learning

Library Rules

The Library Rules' prime purpose is to ensure that the best possible environment for study and research is provided for all users. Library users are expected to observe the rules and regulations as set below.

I. Rules and Regulations / Policies and Procedures

Hours of Service

  • Regular Semesters:
    • Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Summer:
    • Monday to Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Note: The library has NO NOON TIME BREAK. Students can come anytime to read or borrow books.
  • The library is closed on Sundays and Holidays. Changes in the schedule will be posted on the bulletin board.

Entrance/Exit

Students are required to leave their bags, food, etc., on the shelves provided before entering the library.

Digital Log In/Log Out

Students are required to TAP their School ID when entering the library to record their attendance.

General Policies

  • Keep the library conducive for learning. Observe silence.
  • Be respectful and courteous when dealing with library personnel.
  • Handle books and materials with care. Marking, mutilation, or defacing library property requires replacement or payment at the current price.
  • Eating, sleeping, littering, and loitering are strictly prohibited.

Library Services

Digital Borrowing & Returning of Books

  • Students must use their SCHOOL IDs when borrowing books.
  • Students are required to TAP their SCHOOL ID when borrowing and returning books.
  • Students may borrow 2 books at a time for 2 days and 2 nights.
  • Late returns will incur a fine of ₱10.00 per day per book.
  • Lost books must be reported immediately to avoid fines. Lost items must be replaced with the same title, author, and latest edition, or paid at market price.

Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

OPAC is an online database cataloging sources and materials available in the library.

III. Library Sections/Facilities

  • Circulation Section: General collection of books for circulation.
  • Reference Section: Encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, yearbooks, directories, almanacs (library use only).
  • Filipiniana Section: Books by Filipino authors and about the Philippines.
  • Periodical Section: Newspapers, journals, magazines (local and foreign).
  • Internet Section: 10 computers available for research purposes only.

IV. Instructional Media Center

The Audiovisual Office provides services for instructional presentations to faculty and students. Scheduled requests are supported with facilities, equipment, and AV materials.
